Q&A with Carl White, FNP-C

We are thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of our staff, Carl White, who is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. To help you get to know him a little bit better, we sat down for a quick Q&A with him.

Tell us a little bit about your background.

I grew up in Conifer, CO. Went to school in Greeley for my undergrad and grad degrees. I’ve been working at North Colorado Medical Center in the intensive care unit and cardiac unit before moving to the outpatient setting.

What led you to a career in medicine?

My dream was initially to be a flight nurse with Flight for Life, though I ended up going a different route into family medicine.

What is your favorite thing about being a Nurse Practitioner?

I enjoy being able to help those in need, while having dedicated and personal time with each patient.

What would you like our patients to know about your approach to patient care and healing?

I prefer a holistic approach to medicine. Western medicine has its place, but is not always the “right” choice.

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, biking, hunting and climbing.

Any special interests or hobbies?

Same as above!

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can mountain-unicycle!

What can't you live without?

Faith.

What three items would you take with you to a desert island?

Bible, desalination system and seeds!

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, what are you most thankful for?

God and my family.
